UK: Russian and British veterans commemorate V-Day in London

Hundreds joined World War II veterans in laying wreaths at London's Soviet war memorial, as party of Victory Day elections, Tuesday. The ceremony marked the 72nd anniversary of the Allied victory (V-Day) over the Nazis in 1945.

Russian ambassador Alexander Yakovenko was among some of the first to lay a wreath and also spoke at the event which was attended by a number of Russian veterans.
